These are the best chocolate chip cookies ever. I promise. Oh, you want the recipe? On one condition, don't eat them all in one sitting. I suggest bringing them to friends, that's what we did.
2 sticks of butter at room temp
1/2 c white sugar
1 3/4 c brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2c whole wheat flour
1c all purpose flour
1 1/2t baking soda
1 lb chocolate chips/chunks
(adapted from sheena's recipe)
Cream the butter and the sugars until light. Beat in the eggs one at time. Make sure each egg is incorporated before adding the next. Add the vanilla. Scrape down the bowl with a spatula. Combine the flours, baking soda and salt in another bowl. With a whisk, stir to combine. With the machine on low, slowly add the flour mixture. Mix until just combined, don't over mix With a spatula stir in the chocolate.Drop by spoonful onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with sea salt before baking.
Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Try to let them cool before digging in.
