5 Summer Reads

books

1} 2} 3} 4} 5}

These are the books on my summer reading list.

An Everlasting Meal - is about cooking with economy and grace. It's not really a cookbook, but stories on how to feed your family and guests economically.

Plenty - A veggie cookbook. Beautiful photos and recipes that seem like they were written just for me.

Radical - is challenging christians to move away from the american dream.

The Home has a Heart - *currently reading* A guide from a swedish homemaker on, cooking, cleaning, serving, and stewardship.

Cupcakes and Cashmere - A guide for entertaining, styling and living pretty.

Have you read any of these books? What are you reading?

I read Radical this past year, and trust me, you won't be the same as when you first picked it up! It's so challenging and really makes you think. It's one of those books you have to read slowly to take it all in. You'll have to let me know what you think!

Plenty has been on my list for months, but I'm so bad with purchasing cookbooks and not really using them. Cupcakes and Cashmere looks great, it's going on my list now :)

I love entertaining and cook books, so fun to look at the pictures and try the recipes. I wonder if Radical is anything like Shane Claiborne's The Irresistible Revolution. They all look like good reads.

Ive been reading the FREE preview of An everlasting meal, reading it over and over and over haha. The author talks about M F K Fisher in the opening as one of her favorite food authors. Her books are cheaper, so I bought a paper back collection of all of her works. I figured it would be cool to read them before I buy An Everlasting Meal. Ive also been eyeing Plenty, its on my birthday list ha, but I cant spend 40 bucks on a cook book hah, Im waiting for it to come out in paperback (if it ever does)
